Our Reason Why

Why do we provide unicorn/pony photoshoots, a photoshoot background, and grow fresh-cut flowers? There are two main reasons…

  1. First, we love to share our farm, animals, and flowers with others. What good is growing flowers if you can’t share them? The look of wonder on a child’s face when she/he first meets our unicorn, makes all of the hard work worthwhile! Our goal is to bless others as we have been blessed, through our animals, farm, and flowers. We hope they bring joy to everyone they encounter.
  2. Second, and equally important, this is the primary way we are able to feed and care for our animals. Many of these animals are semi-retired and have medical issues. We love them and feel we owe them after all of the years they have worked with us at events and parties. Your business helps to provide feed, medicine, veterinary care, and farrier service.

Meet Our Farm Animal Family

Oldie but Goodies:

Betsy
• Betsy is a 32-year-young Shetland Pony.

• She is semi-retired; her main job is to relax and be her sweet self in the pasture.

• She also occasionally poses for photo shoots with children at our farm, sometimes attends petting zoos if needed . She knows her job and loves it!

• We have had her since she was around 18 years old.

• She used to be an Amish cart pony. We were told that she was quite wild when she was younger, running away with a cart full of kids!

• She spends a majority of her time relaxing in the shade.

• We love her tons and can’t imagine life without her!

Eeyore
• Eeyore is a 26-years-young Miniature horse.

• I have had him since he was 6 months old!

• He is semi-retired; his main job is to visit the elderly in Nursing Homes.

• He loves the elderly and people in wheelchairs! He is extra gentle with them, even walking in rooms, around machines and hoses to go right up to a bed to say, “hello!”

• He is great with children in his petting zoo pen, allowing them to brush/pet him, and even braid his mane (hair).

• If he is being walked around children, like he is with the elderly, he is naughty and will attempt to push them down!

• We joke that he is Eeyore with an “attitude.”

More to come on…
